Getting There
At both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, transportation from the airport to your hotel is something
you'll have to arrange for yourself, unless you purchase a package that includes transfers. One option is to
use an airport shuttle -- a shared van or bus service that runs at scheduled times between the airport and
your hotel.
Please keep in mind that those staying in the resorts that we have blocked will be provided private
transportation for our wedding guests to and from the resorts to our wedding day events. Other days
Disney's extensive transportation system is included in your stay.
New Info!!!!!
For Disney's 50th anniversary celebration Disney World will begin offering a free shuttle and
baggage handling service for resort guests from Orlando International Airport. This new
service will begin May 5, 2005 and continue for the anniversary year. For more information

Shuttle Service
Most Walt Disney World packages use Mears Shuttle, which is moderately priced for transfers between Orlando
International Airport (MCO) and the Disney resorts at $29 roundtrip for adults (12 and older) and $21 for kids ages
4-11. Kids 3 and under are free.
Unfortunately, Mears can be slow, since you will have to wait for the shuttle (which is often a big bus) to pick up
numerous passengers and take them to their individual hotels. For parties of three or more, a towncar or limo
transfer usually costs about the same or less and is much more convenient.

Private Transfers
For Walt Disney World vacations, if you have a party of 3 or more, private luxury sedan or limo service is often a
better deal than taking a shuttle -- and much faster and more comfortable! The driver meets you at baggage claim,
assists you with your luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel. It really gets your vacation off to a great start.

Luxury sedan service (Lincoln Town Car or Cadillac DeVille with a capacity of 4 adults) from Orlando International
Airport (MCO) to Disney World area hotels will cost you about $80-$90 round trip, plus gratuity and fees*.
A stretch limo, which can handle up to 8 adults, will run you about $160-180, plus gratuity and fees*.
A private van, which can carry up to 10 adults, costs around $95-$105 round trip, plus gratuity and fees*.

Car Rental
At Walt Disney World, if you are staying on Disney property the extensive Disney Transportation System
can get you to any of the Disney resorts, parks, water parks and Downtown Disney by bus, boat or
monorail. The system for getting people between the Disney resort hotels and the theme parks is quite
efficient and often takes no longer than driving yourself. Many people find this one of the most relaxing
aspects of a Disney World vacation.

However, if you want to get from resort to resort at Disney World (for instance, to attend a dinner show
such as the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, which is at Ft. Wilderness Campgrounds) it can be very time-consuming
to use Disney's transportation system. In that case, you may well want a car.

There are numerous car rental companies available in Orlando, below is a link to a page that discusses
Orlando Rental cmpanies, insurance and gas purchases.
